Arrived at the boat on January 5 to make preparations for departing on January 8th (today). After two days of extremely cold weather (lows in the 20's Monday night) it finally started to warm up a bit, but not by much. Woke up to find overcast skys and temps in the 40's. Had a short conversation with Val and Lisa aboard RISING STAR (the folks I'm buddy boating with) and we decided to head out. The weather wasn't too bad once we were out in the ICW and heading south. Arrived at New Smyrna Beach around 3:20 and dropped anchor. All in all, a good day with no problems or "excitement", which is always a good way to end the day.
